Your Review We 'discovered' this new 'mom and pop' spot on the Eastern Shore with the best fish & chips bar none - lightly battered and generous portions.
My brother had the "Real French Canadian Poutine" (in honour of this dish's 50th anniversary) and a Bacon Double Cheeseburger which was 'huge'!!! He said the poutine was excellent and made with real curds, not the 'mozza stuff' you get elsewhere.
I wanted to try a piece of the homemade pie with my "fair trade' coffee, but I had no room left!
The Trail Stop is a takeout, but has an extensive menu and a funky little eat-in building, picnic tables and a walking trail beside the river (to walk off all those extra 'yummy' calories!).
The owners were friendly and helpful and told us they'll be offering home cooked meals in the fall. We'll definitely stop again on our next trip down the Shore.
Location On the east side of the Moser River bridge, between Sheet Harbour and Sherbrooke.
